KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan athletes Hekmatullah Zain and Omid Sahak have won silver medals in the G-2 Asian Taekwondo championship in Pakistan.
Bashir Tarakai, coach of the national taekwondo team, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Zain defeated his opponents from Pakistan and Kazakhstan at 68kg.
He said Omid Sahak also defeated his rivals from Jordan, Pakistan and Kazakhstan at 74 kilograms.
According to Tarakai, 10 Afghan athletes have participated in the 5th Asian Taekwondo Championship, called “G2”. The tournament was held in Pakistan and taekwondo players from 23 countries took part in the championship.
