MAIMANA (Pajhwok): One person was killed and two others were injured when a gas cylinder went off in northern Faryab province on Saturday, police said.
First district police chief Damla Hedayatullah said the incident took place at 10:30am today in Balochkhana Gozar of Maimana city.
Information and Culture Director Mawlavi Shamsuddin Muhammadi said three brothers were working in a house when a gas cylinder exploded due to a leak, killing one and injuring the remaining two.
He identified the deceased as Ahmad Khalid who got married two months ago.
