Highlight social realities, Kabir urges media

KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Maulvi Abdul Kabir has asked the media to spotlight ground realities.

He made the remarks during a meeting with spokesmen for ministries, departments and officials media outlets, his office wrote on its X handle.

Kabir called the role of media managers of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) crucial, asking spokespersons to cooperate with media on information sharing.

He said: “It is important to highlight social realities and IEA achievements to the people on time and cooperate with the media in a broad and sustainable manner.”

He urged the media to reflect on realities because there had been many positive changes since the IEA’s return to power in 2021.

Spokespersons for the ministries and departments spoke about access to information and the development of ties and coordination with the domestic and foreign media outlets.

According to the prime minister office, there has been good coordination between the spokesmen and the media in sharing information on time.

It quoted the spokespersons as saying: “Despite the fact that a number of foreign media outlets continue to file negative and false reports about Afghanistan, achievements, progress and the real image of Afghanistan have been conveyed to the world on time and the enemy’s propaganda has failed.”
