T20 series: Afghanistan to take on India tomorrow

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan will play their first match against India tomorrow as part of a three-match twenty/20 series.

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) wrote on its Facebook page that the national side will play its first T20 match against India tomorrow.

The match will commence at 6:00pm Afghanistan time.

ACB said the Afghan players played exercise games to prepare themselves for the series.

Afghanistan will play second match against India on January 14 and the third match on January 17.

The series will follow Test, ODI and T20 matches between Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Ireland.

ACB has unveiled a 19-member squad for the three-match T20I series against India.

The three matches will be played between Afghanistan and India in Mohali, Indore, and Bengaluru stadiums.

Ibrahim Zadran, the opening batter, will continue to lead the national side, building on the momentum of their recent 2-1 series victory against the United Arab Emirate (UAE) in Sharjah.
