JALALABAD (Pajwhok): Two people died and a third was wounded in two separate traffic accidents in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Abdul Basir Zabuli said a Saracha-type vehicle plunged into a canal in Behsud district on Tuesday afternoon.
He said two people, including the driver, lost their lives in the incident caused by reckless driving.
Separately, a corolla-type car collided with a rickshaw in Moi Mubarak area of Sararud district, causing serious injuries to the rickshaw driver.
The accident occurred due to recklessness of the car driver, who managed to escape, Zabuli concluded.
