AIBAK (Pajhwok): Three coal miners have succumbed to suffocation inside a coalmine the Dara-i-Suf Bala district of northern Samangan province, an official said on Tuesday.
District Chief Mohammad Nasim Khyber Shkan told Pajhwok Afghan News three coal miners were killed on Tuesday morning due to the lack of oxygen inside the coalmine.
He said the deceased miners were Rahmatullah, 18, Abdullah, 50, and Mohammad Arif, 30, who hailed from the Shahristan district of Daikundi province and worked in a coalmine in Dara-i-Suf district.
The bodies had been sent to the Dara-i-Suf district Hospital, he added.
