Azizi wants trade kept out of politics

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry Nooruddin Azizi says trade issues should be kept out of politics.

At a meeting with a Pakistani delegation, the acting minister hoped  its visit would be beneficial for the people of both countries.

Led by Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry Mohammad Khurram Agha, the delegation’s trip would help address challenges and expand trade relations between the two countries, he believed.

Referring to recent tensions between Kabul and Islamabad, Azizi said priority should be given to trade-related issues that must be kept apart from politics.

In response to an official invitation from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), the Pakistani delegation arrived to Kabul late on Monday.

The delegation has come to Kabul days after Pakistani planes bombed the houses of ordinary people in the Barmal district of Khost and Spera district of Paktika.

The airstrikes killed three women and as many children in Paktika and two women in Khost. Two civilian houses were also destroyed in the strikes.
