MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajwhok): Unknown men killed an elderly man using shovels in Dehdadi district of northern Balkh province, police said on Monday.
In a statement, the police headquarters said unknown men using shovels killed 67-year-old Mohammad Akram before fleeing the area.
The motive behind the murder remains unclear, but an investigation is underway, the statement concluded.
