KABUL (Pajhwok): Joint cooperation and bilateral relations between China and Afghanistan can help address issues, the Chinese ambassador said during a meeting with deputy PM for political affairs.

The Deputy PM’s office in a statement today (Wednesday) said Deputy PM Maulvi Abdul Kabir met with Chinese ambassador Zhao Xing in Kabul.

Xing stressed joint cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries could help address many issues.

According to Xing, his country supports the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan’s stance in international gatherings especially at meetings of the UN Security Council and is committed to its cooperation.

He also officially invited the deputy PM to attend the upcoming Trans-Himalaya Forum.

Kabir thanked the government of China for its cooperation with Afghanistan in various fields and said as a responsible government, the IEA was committed to its promises and active role in the stability and development of the region.

Kabir also called China’s support for the IEA stance in the interest of the Afghan nation and said Beijing’s cooperation could bring about positive changes and development in Afghanistan.
