KABUL insurgents were killed and 11 others, including civilians, wounded during separate incidents of violence in three provinces, officials said on Wednesday.
One policeman was killed and two others wounded when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb in the Andar district of southern Ghazni province, the governor’s spokesman, Shafique Nang, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The blast took place in Mulla Nuh locality, he said, adding that the injured policemen had been hospitalized.
Separately, a public uprising commander, Mullah Rahimullah, was injured along with his two bodyguards in a bomb blast in the Gilan district.
A doctor at the civil hospital said they had been delivered seven wounded people at the hospital.
In Uruzgan, unidentified gunmen shot dead two policemen in Tirinkot, the provincial capital, 1st police district chief Capt. Gul Agha said. He said the incident took place before noon in Kotwal locality.
Elsewhere, three Taliban insurgent were killed and as many were wounded during a clearing operation in the Syagard district of central Parwan province.
The operation started on Wednesday and would continue for another three days, said Lotfur Rahman Rishad, the crime investigation department head.
He said one policeman was wounded in today’s fighting.
