Nearly 1,800 Afghans retune home from aboard in a week

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): At least 1,765 Afghans stranded in aboard due to non-availability of flights have been brought home this last week, the Afghanistaninfo-icon Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) said on Sunday.

A statement from ACCAA said the Afghans stranded in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirate (UAE), India and Turkey had been flown home last week.

The process of bringing home the Afghans from foreign countries was ongoing, the statement said, adding 659 citizens had returned from Saudi Arabia, 609 from the UAE, 359 from India and 138 from Turkey.

The statement said around 985 other Afghan nationals had been taken to different provinces on domestic flights.
