LASHKARGAH (PAN): A newly-constructed building for a district headquarters was inaugurated in southern Helmand province on Wednesday, officials said.
The building for Nad Ali district headquarters cost $600,000 (423,304 afghanis) provided by the British Provincial Reconstruction), the governor, Mohammad Gulab Mangal, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The structure had 17 administrative roams, a meeting hall, a dining hall and other allied facilities. The project took 18 months be complete, he said.
The governor said construction work on similar buildings was underway in other districts of the province.
Nad Ali district chief, Habibullah Shamlani, said earlier officials at the district headquarters had to face with space problem, but now the problem had been resolved with the construction of the new facility.
