KABUL): A combined Afghan and coalition security force discovered a drug cache during a routine patrol in the Panjwa‘i district of southern Kandahar province, the alliance said on Friday.
The cache consisted of approximately 2,420 pounds (1,100 kilograms) of hash and approximately 880 pounds (400 kilograms) of marijuana seeds, the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said in a statement.
The drugs and seeds were destroyed on site without incident, it said.
