KABUL Ministry destroyed 15 tonnes of expired and low quality medicines in the Botkhak district of central Kabul province on Monday, said an official.
A ministry official, Dr. Syed Ibrahim Kamal told Pajhwok Afghan News that obsolete and poor quality drugs seized from Kabul pharmacies over the past four months were set on fire in Gazk area of the district.
Without giving further details, Kamal said offenders were fined between 1,000 afs and 100,000 afs.
He said syrups, tablets, antibiotics and drips were among the medicines destroyed by the ministry.
