Students’ vacation extended for three months

Classes were suspended for 10 days to control the hostile situation that erupted on Yaum-i-Ashura.

On 24th November, the ministry decided to suspend classes for 10 days in Kabul University, Kabul Polytechnic University, Kabul Medical University and Martyr Prof. Rabbani Education University.

Mohammad Azim Noorbakhsh, the ministry’s spokesman said that the decision was taken to ensure no untoward incidents take place in the universities.

We were expecting to start exams on 30th November, but now exams would be delayed to February 2013.

We decided to expand the vacation period to three months so students from other provinces, especially girls could safely return to Kabul for their exams, said Noorbakhsh.
