KABUL) chief, Asadullah Khalid, will not undermine the peace process, the International Security Assistance Force said on Saturday.
David Warner, ISAF’s deputy head of reintegration, told a press conference in Kabul that Thursday’s suicide attack, which wounded Khalid, will not deter insurgents from continuing to join the peace process.
Since the inception of the reintegration program, 5,900 militants have joined the peace process across the country while more than 200 others are in the process of being reconciled, Warner said, adding that employment opportunities have been created by local peace councils for the surrendered people.
