KABUL after 2014, when most combat troops are scheduled to leave the country.
Muhammadi told a news conference in Berlin on Thursday the Loya Jirga would convene in late November. “We are very confident that we can vote for this agreement with a large majority and sign it,” the Associated Press quoted him as saying.
The jirga — an assembly of tribal elders and experts — will scrutinise the Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) between Afghanistan and the United States. The pact will allow US forces to stay in the country after 2014.
