KABUL (Pajhwok): Islamabad and Kabul have affirmed their commitment to resolving tariff issues related to the Central Asia-South Asia 1000 (CASA-1000) power supply project, a media report said on Thursday.
Deputy Minister of Finance Mustafa Mastoor and Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar made the commitment at a meeting in Kazakhstan, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
The two met on the sidelines of the 47th annual meeting of the board of governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Astana, the news agency said.
Dar highlighted the importance of the project for regional integration, saying it would also strengthen bilateral relations. He congratulated the Afghan government on holding successful presidential elections.
