LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Two civilians were killed and a third sustained injuries in a roadside bombing in southern Helmand province on Sunday, an official said.
The victims were travelling on a highway in the Kajaki district when the blast took place in the Arab Zo area, Helmand police spokesman Maj. Farid Ahmed Obaid told Pajhwok News.
The injured person had been taken to hospital, he said, accusing Taliban militants of planting landmines in the area. The hidden bombs often resulted in casualties among civilians.
There has been no word from the Taliban regarding the blast.
