According to DawnNews, the drone fired two missiles at the compound, but identity of those killed could not be ascertained immediately. Shawal valley, off-limit to journalists, lies on the border between North and South Waziristan.
In June last year, the Pakistan military launched a counter-insurgency offensive codenamed ‘Zarb-i-Azb’ in the region. On January 15, seven suspected militants were killed, and five others injured in a similar raid in South Waziristan.
