PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Two district attorneys have been detained on charges of taking bribes in central Logar province on Tuesday, a reliable source said.
The source confided to Pajhwok Afghan News on condition of anonymity that the attorneys were caught red-handed while receiving thousands of dollars in bribes.
He said: “The two attorneys, tasked with investigating a criminal case, are currently under investigation.”
Gubernatorial spokesman Din Mohammad Darwesh confirmed the arrests, but stopped short of giving further details.
Approached for comments, Logar Appellant Court head Abdul Qayyum said Afghan intelligence operatives had detained the attorneys.
