GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A group of 25 tribal elders from southern Ghazni province has gone to Zabul to help release 31 abducted passengers, an official said on Saturday.
The passengers were kidnapped by unidentified gunmen on March 1 on Kabul-Kandahar Highway. However, no group has so far claimed credit for their abduction.
Acting Governor Musa Khan Akbarzada said the noted elders left for Zabul in order to meet the kidnappers and negotiate the release of the captives.
