KABUL (Pajhwok): One of the rockets exploded close to the house of Dawat-e-Islami party chief Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayyaf on Friday in the Paghman district of capital Kabul but caused no fatalities, district police chief said.

Col. Amrullah told Pajhwok Afghan News two rockets landed at a 300 meters distance from Sayyaf’s home at around 11: 00 am.

One of the rockets exploded with a big bang, he said, adding the explosion, however, caused no casualties. He said the rockets were fired from Miakhel Mountain’s side.

Police have started investigations but no one could be arrested so far. Sayyaf’s spokesman Fahim Kohdamni on social media said: “Today once again, the enemy of Islam fired rockets on Ostad Sayyaf’s home but no one is hurt in the attack.”
