KABUL (MoHE) on Sunday announced the result of university entry tests, declaring some 157,000 participants as successful.
MoHE spokesman Faisal Amin told Pajhwok Afghan News the results of the tests were published on the ministry’s website www.mohe.gov.af on Sunday afternoon.
Of some 180,000 candidates from all over the country sitting in the exams of 1394 solar year, nearly 157,000 had qualified for admissions in universities, he said.
MoHE says 58,310 successful students will be enrolled in government-run higher education institutes and 46,906 others in semi-higher education.
Amin said up to 51,458 students had qualified for admission in private universities and 22933 candidates had failed in the exams.
Faramarz, a student from western Herat province had topped the exams by obtaining 340.98 marks while Fawad Ahmad from Kabul grabbed second position with 339.27 marks.
