Suicide attack thwarted in Paktika, claims NDS

SHARAN (Pajhwok): National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Monday claimed arresting an individual trying to carry out a suicide bombing in the Orgun district of southeastern Paktika province.

In a statement, the spy network said the would-be suicide bomber, Abdul Wali, was detained by security personnel during a raid in the district.

During preliminary investigations, Wali confessedto receiving training in Wana, headquarters of South Waziristan, and spending one month at a Taliban centre in Kohatdistrict of Khyber Pakhtonkhwa.

Two years back, around 100 people, including women and children, were killed in a car-bombing in Orgun.
