KABUL following a car bomb attack on a Danish convoy last week.
To be stationed in Kabul next year, the soldiers will assist the 97 Danish soldiers already in Afghanistan protecting advisers traveling to and from the Afghan military academy, the Danish Ministry of Defense has said.
Danish Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen was quoted in a statement by his ministry as saying: “If the Afghan government loses control, Afghanistan will once again become a haven for terrorist groups and we risk another wave of refugees to Europe and Demark.
The announcement comes days after a car bomber attacked a Danish convoy in Kabul, wounding a number of civilians but leaving the international forces unharmed.
