ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Rockets fired by Pakistani troops into eastern Kunar province have left one person dead and eight others wounded, an official said on Tuesday.
Police spokesman Farid Dehqan told Pajhwok Afghan News that cross-border shelling hit Sarkano district late on Monday night.
He said one civilian was killed and eight others were wounded in Shoonkaro area. The injured were evacuated to hospital but he had no information about their condition.
Pakistani troops have been firing rockets into Kunar over the past few years, causing many civilians and displaced.
