President Ghani in Kunar to inaugurate projects

KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani on Wednesday arrived in eastern Kunar province to inaugurate some projects and meet local officials.

Presidential spokesman Haroon Chakhansouri told Pajhwok Afghan News that Ghani arrived at the head of a high-level delegation Asadabad early in the morning.

He said Ghani would inaugurate an administrative complex for the Public Health Department and lay the foundation stone for a 200-bed hospital during his visit.

The president would meet civil and military officials, religious scholars, representatives of women and youth as well as tribal elders.

Abdul Ghani Mosamam, the governor’s spokesman, said that the president would inaugurate eight reconstruction projects worth 777 million afghanis.
