KABUL (Pajhwok): Five militants have been killed and seven others injured during security forces operation in the Dara-i-Suf Paen district of northern Samangan province, an official said on Friday.
Abdul Yaqin Ahmadi, the district administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the operation was launched on Thursday to retake the Uzbek Parida check-post from the Taliban.
He added security forces retake the check-post during the two hours operation and inflicted casualties on 12 rebels.
Security forces suffered no casualties during the offense.
Earlier, four security personnel were killed and injured during the Taliban attack on the Uzbek Parida check-post.
