Tashkent’s interest in stabilising Afghanistan hailed

KABUL has hailed Uzbekistan’s consistent interest in the promotion of peace and stability in the war-torn country

Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Cooperation Mirwais Nab also welcomed Tashkent’s readiness to host intra-Afghan negotiations.

He met Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov in Berlin. The two sides discussed the overall situation in the region.

Nab praised the measures Uzbekistan had taken for Afghanistan’s integration into the region and providing assistance for important infrastructure projects, according to the foreign ministry in Tashkent.
