KABUL (Pajhwok): One policeman has been killed in an explosion in northern Balkh province, local officials said on Tuesday.
The blast occurred in the 8th police district of Mazar-e-Sharif, the provincial capital, on Monday night, a police spokesman said.
Adil Shah Adil added the explosive device had been attached to a bicycle. Two other policemen were wounded in the incident.
He believed the Taliban were behind the explosion. But the militant outfit has not yet commented on the overnight incident.
