3 police killed, as many injured in Herat blast

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Three police personnel were killed and as many others wounded in a roadside bombing in western of Herat province on Saturday, an official said.  

A government source told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast took place on the Herat-Islam Qala highway in Kahistan district.

Police spokesman Abdul Ahad Walizada confirmed the incident and said that three policemen had been killed and three more wounded.

The Taliban have said nothing about the roadside bombing — the second in two weeks on the Herat-Islam Qala highway.
