KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Foreign Minister Hanif Atmar will sign a 10-year electricity import agreement with Uzbekistan during his two-day official visit to the country, an official said on Thursday.
Geran Hewad, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said Atmar would be accompanied by a high level delegation and would reach Tashkent on Friday.
Commerce and industries minister, transport minister, Da Afghanistan Breshana Shirkat (DABS) head and president’s chief of staff would be accompanying the foreign minister on the trip.
The Afghan delegation would meet Uzbek officials and sign agreements on cultural ties, cooperation in customs affairs and particularly a 10 year electricity import agreement, he added.
