CHARIKAR militant group has been arrested in central Parwan province, local officials said on Monday.
Mohammad Lemar Usmanyar, chief for Sayedkhel district, told Pajhwok Afghan News the six individuals were detained near the district’s building at 9:00pm on Sunday night.
He said the detainees hailed from Ghazni, Kabul and Parwan who wanted to go to the house of their associate.
He claimed the detainees had attacked the deputy police chief of the district before their arrest. According to local officials, the six-member group was sent to Charikar City for further investigation.
Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
