GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot dead an employee of New Kabul Bank (NKB) in southern Ghazni province on Tuesday morning, an official said.
Police spokesman Ahmad Khan Serat told Pajhwok Afghan News that unknown armed men gunned down Naseer Ahmad, worker of NKB, in Haji Rafi township in limits of 2nd police district of Ghazni City at around 8:00am in the morning.
He said: “The gunmen shot dead Naseer Ahmad with silent pistol.” No arrest has been made but police launched a manhunt for the killers.
Rahimullah, a resident of the area, said unknown armed men had shot dead Naseer Ahmad in 100-meter of a police check-post.
He expressed concern on recent rise in targeted killings in the province.
