BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) head for central Bamyan province on Thursday rejected hunting of 300 deer in the province.
EPA Head IbrhimDadfar told reporters here that two incidents of deer hunting took place this year in the province and rubbished media reports regarding the hunting of 300 deer.
Mohammad Akbar Saighani, the provincial head of Wildlife Protection Organisation, said that his statement was perceived wrongly regarding the hunting of 300 deer which did not happen.
Police Spokesperson Mohammad RazaYousufi said 10 people had been arrested in connection with the hunting of deer and other rare animals.
