Arnault pledges to work for establishment of peace in Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): UN Secretary General’s Special Representative for Afghan Peace Process Jean Arnault during a telephonic conversation with Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar said that he was striving for the establishment of peace in Afghanistan.

In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that Foreign Minister Atmar noted that Arnault held deep knowledge and experience in Afghanistan thus he could play vital role in the establishment of peace in Afghanistan.

Arnault said: “I am very glad that under new assignment I would be able to establish peace for the people of Afghanistan with the help of huge experience I have in Afghanistan.”

Both sides pledged to work together for the success of peace process.
