KABUL(Pajhwok) NATO Foreign Ministers will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. The agenda will include several topics, including Afghanistan.

A NATO official in Brussels told Pajheok Afghan News this is “the first in-person ministerial meeting at NATO in over a year.”
“Ministers will continue laying the groundwork for the NATO Summit, which will open a new chapter in transatlantic relations and set the direction for the future of our Alliance,” he said. He added that
“NATO 2030 is an ambitious agenda for transatlantic security, and NATO Foreign Ministers will continue the discussion on how to build an even stronger Alliance.”
The official also pointed out: “We will continue our close consultations on Afghanistan. Allies remain committed to supporting efforts for peace, and all parties need to seize this historic opportunity. Negotiations are the best way to preserve the gains we have made for Afghanistan, and ensure a peaceful and stable Afghanistan that will not serve as a safe haven for terrorists.”
“We will also look into what more NATO could do to build stability across the Middle East and North Africa, including by working closely with our partners,” he added.
“Our relationship with Russia remains difficult. Russia continues to demonstrate a pattern of destabilising and aggressive behaviour.
So together with our partners Finland and Sweden, as well as the EU High Representative, we will discuss our approach to Russia and how we can strengthen international arms control,” he also said.
