PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Four civilians, including three women, have been killed in an airstrike in Pul-i-Khumri, the capital of northern Baghlan province, said residents on Monday.
The airstrike took place in Joeeno locality near a place where the Taliban were holding a meeting, local resident AkhtarGul said.
“I don’t have more information, but bombs were dropped on QariMohib and JummaGul’s homes in which three women and one man were killed,” he said.
But Abdul HadiNazari, spokesperson for 217 Pamir Military Corps, said no civilian suffered casualties in the airstrike in the Dand-e-Ghori area.
He claimed 11 Taliban were killed in the airstrikes.
Taliban Spokesperson ZabihullahMujahid confirmed the airstrikes in Pul-i-Khumri but added no Taliban fighters were killed or injured.
It is worth mentioning that on Sunday eight civilians were killed and injured in airstrike in the Dand-e-Ghori locality.
