KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) announced on Sunday reactivating radar and VSAT systems at the Bagram airfield in central Parwan province.
In a statement, ACAA said both systems had been deactivated before the NATO Resolute Support vacated the sprawling airbase.
The radar and VSAT systems were guiding flights from the airbase and the Hamid Karzai International Airport in the capital Kabul.
The reactivation of the systems comes two days after US and NATO forces left the biggest military base in Afghanistan and handed it over to the Ministry of Defence.
