Baradar: Our real test to serve nation begins now

KABUL (Pajhwok): Taliban co-founder and head of their Qatar office Mullah Abdul GhaniBaradar on Monday said in a video message after the capture of Kabul that their real test had now begun to meet people’s expectations.

After capturing several provinces, the Taliban entered the outskirts of Kabul, reached areas in the center of Kabul in the afternoon and captured the Presidential Palace on Sunday.

After capturing the palace, the Taliban released a video of Mullah Baradar congratulating all Afghans and the people of Kabul on the movement’s victory.

He said congratulations to the people of Afghanistan and especially to the people of Kabul and the Mujahideen on this great victory. He said it was not expected that they would succeed this way.

He called the victory ‘unparalleled’ and added that “we must not be proud, the time of trial has come. Now is the time to serve the nation and how to give them peace, security and the future.
