KABUL (Pajhwok): The Finance and Economic Commission of Taliban on Monday directed the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to manage financial activities, resources and resume its services.
A statement from MoF received by Pajhwok Afghan News said that financial and economic issues were discussed during a meeting with the Finance and Economic Commission led by Mullah Mohammad NaseerAkhund today.
The statement said that NaseerAkhund directed relevant officials of the ministry to take all necessary measures for resuming its services.
The source said that the ministry officials provided information about the nature of budget, general situation of customs, achievements, Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA), revenue collection, governmental companies’ activities as well as organization of the ministry.
Mullah Mohammad NaseerAkhund said that they would provide all required resources for the activation of financial and customary systems.
A member of the commission, Eng. Mohammad Hassan thanked participants of the meeting and said all government officers would return to their jobs and institutes would be reopened in the near future.
