SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): The Kabul Bank branch in northern Sar-i-Pul province on Tuesday resumed operations after a two-month delay, and customers were pleased with the move.

After the fall of the previous government, activities of banks became difficult and closed, but they resumed operations in Kabul and some provinces with some limitation and people can withdraw only 20,000 afs a week.

The limitation has caused economic problems for the people.

He added that the bank’s customers could receive 20,000 afghanis a week from the bank.

Meanwhile, Kabul Bank customers in the province are pleased with the resumption of its operation.

Khairullah, a member of the National Army, said: “I used to receive a salary through the military and make a living, but it has been two months since my salary was in Kabul Bank and today, I was able to get it.”

Zainab, a teacher in the province, said: “I had not received my salary from the bank for six months and I was facing an economic challenge after the fall of the previous government, fortunately, I got my money today with the opening of the Kabul bank branch.”
