KABUL (Pajhwok): The Taliban have urged the Indian government to explore the possibility of resuming commercial flights between the two countries.
In addition, the new Afghan government had also asked News Delhi to resume scholarships for Afghan students, the Hindustan Times reported.
In a letter to the Indian directorate-general of civil aviation, the Taliban called for the resumption of commercial flights to Afghanistan.
India suspended all commercial flights to Kabul after August 15 when the Taliban seized power in the war-devastated country.
Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and other Taliban officials have reportedly urged Delhi to address issues such as travel by Afghan students who have won Indian scholarships.
