KABUL (Pajhwok): The Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Kabul will reopen soon, a media report said on Tuesday.

The kingdom was considering the reopening of its embassy after a three-month hiatus, reported Arab 9 TV.

After the reopening of the United Arab Emirate embassy, Saudi Arabia has also decided to resume diplomatic ties with Afghanistan.

Without giving a specific date, the report added the Saudi embassy in Kabul would be reopened soon.

Last week, the UAE reopened its embassy in Kabul. Germany is also mulling over resuming diplomatic relations with Afghanistan and sending an ambassador to Kabul.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has assured foreign diplomats of full security in the country, asking them to reopen their missions.
