KABUL (Pajhwok): Harakat-i-Inqelabi Islami party on Thursday asked the international community to recognize the Afghan government in order to safeguard the interests of both sides.
Maulvi Mohammad Nabi Mohammadi’s son and successor Maulvi Mohammad Naqib Mohammadi made the remarks at a press conference in Kabul.
He said the international community should give the current Afghan government time to implement its legitimate demands.
He emphasized the need for the international community to recognize the current Afghan government, and said that it would not only safeguard the interests of both sides, but also the Afghan people.
He also called on all Afghans to support the current government and work for its sustainability because it was in everyone’s interest.
Mohammadi called on all opponents of the government to join the government and work for the development of the country. He also called on Afghans who had left the country to return to Afghanistan and take part in rebuilding the country.
The press conference was also attended by Ahmadullah Wasiq, Deputy Spokesman of the caretaker Government. He said it was the responsibility of all Afghans to support the current government.
He noted that Afghanistan was the common home of all Afghans and all should take part in its reconstruction.
