KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan on Thursday lost the first T20 match to Bangladesh by 61 runs.
Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first, they posted 155 runs in the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Litton Das scored 60 and Afif scored 25 in the Bangladesh batting line up.
Afghan bowlers Fazal Haq Farooqi and Azmatullah Umarzai grabbed two wickets each while Rashid Khan and Qais Ahmad took one wicket.
Afghanistan batting collapsed against the Bangladesh side and they just posted 94 runs in 17.4 overs in falling 61 runs short of the target.
Najibullah scored 27, Umrazai 20 and Nabi scored 16 runs that did not help Afghanistan to reach even close to the target.
The next match between the two sides will be played on Saturday March 05.
