KABUL (Pajhwok): Already one up in the three-match series, Afghanistan are set to take on Pakistan in the second T20 game in Sharjah today (Sunday).
This match is being hosted by Afghanistan at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced a 17 member squad for the series, led by ace spinner Rashid.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, Osman Ghani, Sediq Atal, Najib Zadran, Mohammad Nabi, Karim Janat, Afsar Zazai, Azmat Omarzai, Gulbadin Naib, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Mujib Zadran, Noor Ahmad, Fazel Haq Farooqi, Farid Malik and Naveen Ul Haq are part of the team.
Raees Ahmadzai, deputy coach of the national side, wrote on his Facebook page: “Pakistan has selected players that shone in the Pakistan Super League for the match against Afghanistan. But Afghan players are determined to get a better result.”
Afghanistan will play their third and final against against Pakistan tomorrow night.
Afghanistan won their first international match against a new-look Pakistan at the same venue on March 24.
