KABUL (Pajhwok): An official of the appellant court, Maulvi Mohammad Akbar Hekmat, has been sentenced to 30-month imprisonment on charges of bribery in western Ghor province.
Abdul Wahid Hammas, the governor’s spokesman, confirmed to Pajhwok Afghan News: “The Ghor civil court head was sentenced to two-and-half years in prison over bribery.”
He accused Maulvi Hekmat of receiving 150,000 afghanis in cash. The judge was arrested by intelligence personnel about a month ago.
