PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Desiring a healthy relationship with Afghanistan, Pakistan says only illegal Afghan nationals have been asked to leave by November 1.

Prime Minister Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar said on Friday travel between Pakistan and Afghanistan should be based on global principles for visas and passports.

During a visit to Peshawar, he told journalists: “Not all, but a handful of Afghan were involved in adverse activities. The state…will do what is in our interest.”

Only unregistered Afghan nationals would be deported on expiry of the November 1 deadline, he reiterated, insisting the move did not mean severing ties with Afghanistan.

Pakistan wanted cordial and constructive ties with Afghanistan based on international principles, he added.

Kakar ruled out the possibility of talks with the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The state was powerful enough to fight against the militant outfit.

“We have no intention to talk to TTP. They are killing our children and we will kill them,” the prime minister maintained.
